I have lived at Yarrahapinni for 30 years, but I grew up in Kempsey and went to school there. I left to study engineering, but was drawn back to the area and have raised two children here with my wife Pamela.
My favourite places in the Macleay…where do I start? The Carrai Plateau, Werrikimbee and New England National Parks are the most amazing backdrop to the valley and for anyone with a penchant for the outdoors, they are an absolute must.
Closer to the coast there is Yarriabini National Park with stunning subtropical rain forest and pristine creeks, and also Hat Head National Park with the walk around Korogoro Point. The view from the top of Mt Yarrahapinni is not to be missed.
My interests are well matched to living in the “Valley”. I am passionate about bushwalking, surfing, our national parks and forests and – for something different – fine woodworking.
