The one place I would recommend visitors see while they’re here is Crescent Head. I’ve lived in the area since the 1962 and have been an active member of the Crescent Head Malibu club for 25 years. Not only do I love to surf there, but the top section of the Crescent Head Golf Course has the best views and is the perfect spot for whale watching during the season.
I also love the beaches between Point Plomer and Hungry Head. I’m passionate about surfing, surf history and building timber surfboards, so it’s probably no surprise that I love the beaches around here.
Something really interesting to visit, that not too many people know about, is the Lime Kilns west of Kunderbung that were built and worked by convicts in the 1830s. Most of the lime was transported to Sydney to be used in the early buildings.
