The Yarrahapinni Festival is one of the Macleay Valley Coast’s most anticipated events – featuring a mix of family fun, art and…a dog/owner swim race! The festival will be held at Stuarts Point on August 24 and 25, opening at 9.30am on Friday with the Small Schools Spectacular at the Stuart’s Point Community Hall.
The fun will continue into Saturday, starting with a welcome parade at 8am and live music all day. Adults will be kept busy with over 40 market stalls selling everything from duck curry to dog coats, while kids will be entertained by magician Troppo Bob, a jumping castle and face painting. Kids will also love the Pet Show – a festival highlight. Festival patrons can gather at the river just before noon to watch the Dog & Owner swim – sure to be a great laugh!
