South West Rocks
The Rocks, as it is known to the locals, is one of Australia’s best diving and fishing spots on the North Coast of NSW. Attracting visitors from around the world, one of the most appealing attractions is this small coastal town has avoided high-rise development. Visitors to this laid back town are greeted with a friendly vibe with lots of holiday options. The Rocks is renowned for scuba diving in and around Fish Rock and the town has two dive centres providing year round diving, plus fishing charters for anglers to explore and venture out at sea.

Historic Trial Bay Gaol is a must see, providing not only a magnificent view perched on the coast but history around the sandstone gaol. Smoky Cape Lighthouse is just a short drive into Hat Head National Park and has spectacular views with bushwalking through Arakoon and Hat Head National Parks and onto the unspoilt beaches below.
Grab a coffee and a bite to eat, visit the South West Rocks markets (on every third Sunday of the month at Horseshoe Bay) or buy some fresh fish and chips and wander down to Horseshoe Bay for a paddle with the kids in the waves. Hire a push bike to explore the town and if all that sounds too busy, there are plenty of empty beaches just waiting for you to while the day away.
